Tsukune Aono is a painfully average high school freshman who is unable to get into any private school, due to his disappointing test scores. The only school he is finally accepted into turns out to be a secret school for supernatural monsters (youkai), who are disguised as humans. The first student he meets is the beautiful Moka Akashiya, who becomes his friend for an unusual reason; she is a vampire, and is attracted to the sweet taste of his human blood. Tsukune quickly realizes his admission into a monster school must have been a mistake and fears for his life.
Despite Moka's vampiric nature, she is a kind girl and Tsukune quickly falls for her. He decides to stay and be near her, despite the various dangers. He must hide his human identity from the faculty and other students, while trying to keep his grades up and avoiding conflicts with the various not-so-mythological monsters lurking around campus. Tsukune soon discovers that when he removes the "rosario" around Moka's neck, she transforms into a super-vampire, stronger and more powerful than almost any other creature at the school. However, in this state, she has an entirely different personality, often cold and merciless, so the rosario is only removed in dire emergencies. Tsukune is the only person who can physically remove it to transform Moka, and only in the case of an emergency (the rosario remains physically bound to Moka, while Tsukune attempts to willfully remove it in a moment immediately preceding, and sometimes interjecting - a malignant situation)

Curious about Moka-tachi's status, Tsukune starts walking along the path between the bus stop and the Academy as he encounters the spot where Moka collided with him while riding her bicycle. As Tsukune is recovering himself from being collided into, he sees that the bicyclist is not Moka even if she likes the scent of his human blood (after angrily repelling him with a couple of powerful kicks). Tsukune arrives to find that Moka-tachi has garnered a considerable quantity of admirers from the new students. Moka explains her back story with Kokoa who bursts into the room to initiate another battle by reaching for her pet bat (the narrator of the first season) that has the capability to morph into whatever weapon Kokoa wants. The ensuing one-on-one duel demonstrates Kokoa's lonely anguish at being left alone after Moka left home to reside in the human world. Tsukune intercedes to illuminate the fact that Kokoa actually likes Moka and that there is no need for all this drama since Kokoa is now in the same school as Moka herself. Unfortunately, Kokoa's bewilderment and frustration at Moka's powers being sealed is just too great for Kokoa to be successfully reasoned with; a speedy intercession from Tsukune and a stalwart kick from inner Moka later, Kokoa runs to eagerly and lovingly greet inner Moka. Under the mirage of Tsukune as her daughter's boyfriend, both Tsurara and Ageha endeavor to coerce matrimonial copulation of Tsukune with their respective offspring to compensate for the fact that they both fought over the same boy as adolescent classmates at Youkai Academy (much like what their daughters are doing now with Tsukune) only for neither to truly win. In an attempt to breach the stalemate, Tsurara and Ageha (after silencing their daughters and shoving them aside for trying to explain things) prosecute a fierce duel that wrecks the lunchroom. An austere reprehension from inner Moka later, both Tsurara and Ageha realize the error of their ways when their joint infatuation has moved on with his life and exhort their daughters to learn from their mistakes . . . but then again, considering the nature of their mothers' parting-gift counsel regarding Tsukune, Kurumu and Mizore might end up learning this lesson the hard way.

Kokoa showed up after she learned she can get her "Onee-sama" by removing the rosario around Moka's neck. When Moka showed up to find Tsukune, Kokoa was unable to remove it. When yelling at Tsukune, she caused an avalanche, separating Tsukune and herself from Moka. Meanwhile, the others were relaxing in the hot springs when Tsurara showed up and distracted them from finding Tsukune, until Moka and Mizore showed up, telling them Tsukune was in danger. Tsukune managed to take cover in a cave with Kokoa, but due to a snowstorm they were closed in and Kokoa began to freeze up. A Yeti showed up and started attacking them, but Mizore could distract it long enough for Tsukune and Kokoa to escape. Shortly afterwards, Moka arrives too and once again Tsukune manages to remove the rosario, unsealing Inner Moka who defeated the monster. Koumori returns to his original bat form, and one of his teeth falls off and releases some kind of dark spirit. Following the events that had happened in the previous episode, the fracture in the sky above the academy and that of the human world allowed the humans and youkai to peer into each others world from above. Moka decided to replaced the broken rosario on the seal with hers, thus stopping the youkai world from merging with the humans'. However the pink-haired Moka is replaced permanently by the Vampire Moka (silver-hair). She proves to be bolder with her emotions than the Moka Tsukune has come to know, making him uneasy. The absence of pink-haired Moka has made Tsukune depressed. Ruby, however, has discovered a way to recover Moka's rosario. According to the Chairman, Moka's rosario and the barrier's rosario are made by the same person, who is one of the three founders of Youkai Academy along with the Chairman. He resides in a castle north of the barrier. Ruby informs Tsukune about this, and Tsukune determines to find that person, despite Ruby's warning that he will kill anyone who approaches his castle. Meanwhile, the other girls' mothers visit the school the following day and start searching for Tsukune, hoping to hear his decision on who would be his future wife. However, at that time, he was on his way out of the Youkai realm on his bike, heading north of the barrier to find the creator of Moka's rosario. Little does he know that Kokoa has overheard his conversation with Ruby and is planning to intercept him before he reaches his destination.

Continuing from previous episode, Tsukune went through the tunnel arriving near the castle. On his way to the castle, he was attacked by Komori and his bunch of bats, and the mothers of Mizore and Kurumu. Finally he faced the maker of the Rosario: the third Dark Lord and the father of Moka and Kokoa. Tsukune was beaten pretty badly, until his determination brought out his latent vampire power. His power was so intense that even Moka's father was impressed. Eventually Tsukune was able to snatch the rosario from the Dark Lord's hand, then subsequently being thrown across the hall, all the way to the doors. There, Inner Moka stood watch with Kokoa, where the latter tried to steal the rosario away from Tsukune, but instead they brought down the castle. With the Rosario in his hand, Tsukune prepares to bring back the Outer Moka, but not before the Inner Moka has her moment with him which resulted in Tsukune being kicked hard and bit in the neck by Inner Moka. The Rosario is replaced, and Tsukune and Outer Moka have their reunion, and Tsukune is bit in the neck again. Soon after, Kurumu, Mizore, and Yukari also try to get in the moment. Nekonome-sensei arrives with the bus and Kokoa is punished (in the form of public spanking) by her father as a sort of comic relief as the gang heads back to the academy. Finally, everyone dances to the ending credits and Kokoa bursts out with Lilith's Mirror, splitting Moka into two again and all the girls (even Inner Moka) grab on to Tsukune. |
